Scope:

Europe

Beneficiaries:

Unemployed / low IT skilled workers, students, entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises

Additional Information:

A multistakeholder initiative that aims at developing the e-Skills of those who want to embrace ICT and strengthen their chances of employment.

This initiative helps to provide technology access to train you (and where applicable certify you) with information communication technology and other skill-sets required by current or potential employers over the coming 5 years. It also builds upon already existing education, training and community programmes, to further extend them in order to deliver higher employability opportunities and help make Europe more competitive. This initiative focuses on employability, which is about giving people access to the skills they need to gain and retain a job or transfer to a new job. People need different types of employability skills support depending on their level of formal education and previous work experience. Members’ programmes work at all levels of the employability pathway – from the very low skilled to more highly skilled ICT users and ICT practitioners. In focusing the Alliance’s joint efforts on people with lower employability prospects, the Alliance aims to multiply the numbers of people reached with practical skills training, competencies’ certification and job placement support across a range of sectors, and assist people to move up the employability pathway into more skilled and better paid jobs. Towards the more highly skilled, the Alliance aims to help increase the skills and competencies of today’s and tomorrow’s workforce by providing access to the latest technology tools and training which will increase their competitiveness. If you see yourself belonging to any of the given descriptions we would be very interested in helping you with tailor made ICT aid.
